One question I’d never thought I’d be answering in the Massage My Stress Away blog is: what’s in my fridge?
One thing that’s usually in my fridge are eggs. Mostly because I like breakfast! My daughter likes to help to crack the eggs.
My daughter also enjoys the bacon that is in my fridge! Sure, it isn’t the “best” food, but nothing beats some nicely-baked bacon. Yum!
Speaking of my daughter, you’ll also find cheese. Specifically, string cheese. She doesn’t tar it into string, but she’ll chomp it all down bite after delicious bite. It also makes a perfect midnight snack. (I wish I was kidding!)
What else is in the fridge? Orange juice! Now, this juice isn’t the “normal” orange juice that people like…this orange juice is pulp-free! I know people may be shocked about this…but I cannot stand the texture of pulp. It makes me gag. It’s the same reason why I don’t like eggplant, guacamole, or cooked oatmeal. The texture – it feels slimy – makes me gag!
You can’t have a fridge without the normal necessities…. milk, salad, and real butter! The butter, especially, is my go-to whenever I make toast with honey. The salad is there to balance out the bacon. Kinda. Honestly, I don’t even care: I’ll eat bacon whether or not I’m eating salad.
Lastly, we have the leftovers! Right now, there is pulled pork in yummy juice, corn off the cob, and mashed potatoes.
Top this off with the baby carrots and Greek yogurt, and you can quickly see that the fridge belongs to a very, very busy family! We have food, but it’s food that can be grabbed very, very quickly.
This is one of the reasons why I've started Massage My Stress Away: we don't always take time out for ourselves. We're busy: our fridge is proof of that!! This is why I'm learning -- and sharing with others -- ways to relax, take care of themselves, and eat healthy! And...don't forget to get a massage or stop by our store to pick up some of those things that you desperately need!
Now that you know a little bit about what is in our fridge, what is in *your* fridge? Give us an idea in the comments below! Do you even *like* what is in your fridge?
